Honeycomb Cake

Ramuan / Bahan

2 cups dark brown sugar (I usually reduced it to 1 cup as I don't like it too sweet)
2 cups water
¾ normal sized block unsalted butter
1 normal sized tin condensed milk (I usually used the skimmed version)
2 cups normal flour
2 tablespoons soda bicarbonate
5 large sized eggs

Cara-cara

Step A. To make caramelise sugar mixture:

Melt the sugar on low heat, then add the water and let all the caramelise sugar dissolve in the water. Then keep aside and let it cool to room temperature.

Step B. To make butter and condensed milk mixture:
Melt the butter on a low heat, then add the condensed milk and stir well. Keep aside.

Step C. Sieve together flour and soda bicarbonate.

Step D. Beat well, 5 large sized eggs in one direction only until fluffy. Eggs must be at room temperature.

To Step (D), add (A) and beat it again in one direction.
Add (B) and beat it again in one direction.
Add (C) and beat it again in one direction.

Preheat oven at 180 deg C, fan assisted and make sure the oven is really hot before putting in the mixture. The cake should be ready within 40 - 45 mins.
